New Oxford American

The new Oxford American "Best of the South" issue is on newsstands. I've only had a chance to flip through it. Just on glance: routinely hilarious novelist Jack Pendarvis is the guest-editor, former Little Rocker Mike Powell contributes an essay on his favorite secret place and current Little Rocker Katherine Whitworth writes on Lassis Inn (on 27th St.), which the magazine designates "Best Catfish in the South."
Lassis is good, but no one, in Arkansas at least, can touch the Georgetown One-Stop in eastern White County.

Clearly you have never had Woods Catfish in Camden. I've eated catfish in just about every state in Dixie, yet this is the best by far.

I'm with Rock Candy on this one. The Georgetown One-Stop is definitely the best catfish in the state.
