The hip-hop superhero

It's frustrating I can't show you the preview for "Supa Tight" that I've seen, but Ron Mc wants folks to be surprised come Thursday. I will say that it's a movie to greatly anticipate. Even just the basics should give it top-billing: Local MC/DJ/jack of all trades Ron Mc starred in, shot, produced and edited the adaptation of his comic book creation, "Sly: The Hip-Hop Hero." The film is called "Supa Tight" (it's not just "tight," it's "supa tight") and features a she-villain named Hellcat who looks, in real life, like one of those voluptuous but cut comic book creations that heretofore we thought existed exclusively in the minds of dudely comic book creators.

Thursday night, Riverdale 10, 6 p.m. Red carpet (yes!) starts at 5:30 p.m. The movie will be available as a DVD packaged together with a CD soundtrack and a comic book for $10.

Extremism in support of private insurers is no virtue, and President Bush was defiantly unvirtuous in resisting a Medicare bill that preserves and strengthens government-funded health care for elderly Americans. /more/
