Wilco is coming to town

Jeff Tweedy and co. come to Robinson on Tuesday, September 18. Tickets go on sale on Friday. If you're a Wilco fan club member (it's free), you can buy them on Wednesday. They'll probably sell out pretty quickly.

If I could be assured that there would be no crap from A Ghost is Born or YHF I would be there in a heartbeat. Let's hope for loads of Being There, Summer Teeth, and SBS stuff.....

Sorry you didn't make the transition, because IMHO those are two of the finest CDs released in the last five years. And at their show two (?) years ago at the Orpheum in Memphis, songs from both of those albums were spectacular.

Stay at home, cause there is sure to be "crap" off YHF and A Ghost is Born. Check your head and while your at it check for any live concert over the last three or four years to hear how stellar those albums sound live.

This concert got fierce with Dr. Dog being announced as the opening act. They played a great set a Juanitas earlier this year.

Hell yes, here's another shout out for Dr. Dog. Their show a few months back at Juanita's was one of the best I've seen in many many moons.

As for the Wilco album debate, I'll take the middle ground and cast a vote for Summerteeth and YHF. The rest are pretenders.

The biggest problem with Wilco, though, are their FANS. Buncha overenthusiastic whitecaps have ruined just about every Wilco show I've seen over the last decade.

Wilco's discography: A span of incredible songwriting presented in a sort of organic arc of growth and experimentation - music that will stand the test of time.

Funny how Sky Blue Sky sounds like the album that should have come after Summerteeth.

Current band lineup is strongest ever, and witnessing guitar monster/legend/shaman Nels Cline alone will be worth ticket money.
