Selling your kidney on the black market for Hannah Montana tickets

Well, not quite, but if the secondary ticket market here is anything like Florida's, you might have to forfeit a year of Lil' Suzie's college tuition for a ticket to the sold-out Alltel show on Dec. 1.

Now desperate parents are at the mercy of brokers, who are already advertising on their websites that they've got the goods. The going rate on Saturday afternoon, according to several websites ranged from $65 to $3,700. The face value of the tickets ranges from $26 to $66.

For $15,860, Gotickets.com is offering a luxury suite that seats 20 people.

My wife and I. Her on the computer, and cell phone. Me on another cell phone and land line starting 5 minutes before 10 AM. Circuits busy and all tickets sold out online by 10:01.

Sorry sweetie. A semester of college will do you more good in life.

As Judge Wendell Griffen says, courage is not a vice (though critics seem to fault him for having it) but a virtue. /more/
