Walking with Dinos in review

On Wednesday, Sam Koon — our 7-year-old reviewer —accompanied Arkansas Times Associate Editor David Koon to "Walking With Dinosaurs: The Live Experience."  Here's what he thought:

Last night, I went to Walking with Dinosaurs: The Live Experience. It was a GREAT show. It has a lot of cool things, too, like the plants. My dad was amazed by the flowers (Dad: One of the most striking things at the performance were the balloon-like flowers, trees and grass, which — puffed up with compressed air and beautifully lit from underneath — seem to "grow" around the perimeter of the arena as the eons passed).

The dinosaurs were amazing. They LOOKED REAL!  Raptors attacked a brachiosaurus.  A stegosaurus fought an allosaurus, swinging his spike tail. Two torosaurs fought. At the end, a mother T-Rex rescued her baby from an ankylosaurus.

I really had fun. Kids will love this show!
More on the show.

Walking with Dinosaurs: Thurs. 7 p.m.; Fri. 10:30 a.m., 7 p.m.; Sat. 3 p.m., 7 p.m.; Sun. 7 p.m. Tickets.
