Soundchild Crew wins at the Southern Entertainment Awards

Two weekends ago, Little Rock-based hip-hop group Soundchild Crew took home the Indy Rap Artist of the Year Award at the Southern Entertainment Awards at Tunica's Grand Casino Resort. In addition to a shiny trophy, the crew won $30,000 and a distribution deal. The SEA's are fan driven ("the streets determine," Blu Tantrum, the Executive Producer for Soundchild, told me), which means Soundchild either resonates in the streets all over, or they were really able to mobilize their fanbase. Either way, big congrats.

They'll be celebrating at the Icehouse in Bentonville on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. No cover.

Download the remix to "Crank My Music."
