Chase Pagan
High-singing local indie-rocker Chase Pagan plays White Water. He might be poised to blow-up. Several years back, he almost got big in L.A through a major label. Now, he's working his debut solo full-length, "Oh, Musica," through more independent channels and a national tour. Local singer/songwriter Mandy McBryde opens, 9 p.m., $5.
In Hot Springs, at the Valley of the Vapors Festival, Birmingham, U.K.'s Beat Union borrows from the working class heroes of days gone by in Britain, bands like the Clash and the Jam, though with a good amount of contemporary pop-punk sheen peeking through the grit. Sharon Shy, the front woman for the NYC-based indie rock band the Ropes, speaks four languages and sings acerbic lyrics cherubically. Sao Paulo's Debate melds the post-punk of bands like Fugazi with Brazilian styles. Shot Baker, from Chicago, plays pop-punk, and the Buttons are a new garage band from Little Rock, 7 p.m., $5.
Pop-punks the Ataris come to Juanita's with local melodic punks Dreamfast and PM Today and Alert All Arms, 9 p.m., $10.
Upscale Underground hosts a listening party at Crush for nu-soul sensation Eric Roberson, who'll be performing at Juanita's next weekend. Tonight: 8 p.m., $5.
