Monday: Ginsu Wives and Western Meds get psychedelic

Art by Cameron Holifield.

Thick Syrup presents a night of weirdo electronic music at Sticky Fingerz with avant wizards the Western Meds opening and noise pirates* Ginsu Wives closing down with awesomely titled songs like "Robot John Lithgow" and "Paula Abdul Jabbar." PLUS, our favorite local artist, Cameron Holifield, makes his debut as the Western Meds A/V man. I've been promised psychedelic goodness, 9:30 p.m., $4.

The Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation hosts a get-down at the Afterthought, 8 p.m., $5.

Cover dude Luscious Spiller is at Gusano's, 9 p.m., free.
