In the studio: The Boondogs

Indy Grotto and Jason Weinheimer.

The Boondogs are wrapping up recording of their fifth LP. Several weeks back, Austin producer Andre Moran, who was Jerry Harrison’s assistant when the Boondogs were recording in San Francisco during the GarageBand days, came over to Lucky Dog Studios, where 'dogs Jason Weinheimer and Charles Wyrick work during the day, to record most of the album. Weinheimer, who shares songwriting and lead vocal duty with his wife, Indy Grotto, says that the albums is shaping up as a “big pop rave-up.” He says he plans to master the record in New York or L.A. sometime in early Sept. and have the album out later in the fall.
