Hit the road: the Hold Steady and the Big Chitlin' Cook-Off and Blues Fest

The Hold Steady.

The world's greatest bar band this side of Smoke Up Johnny is at Proud Larry's in Oxford, Miss. tonight. They always put on a good show.

Tonight, at the Hi-Tone in Memphis, alt-country heroes Blue Mountain celebrate the release of their first album in six years, "Midnight in Mississippi."

Sample pig innards done up every way imaginable on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Handy Park in Memphis at the Big Chitlin' Cook-Off and Blues Fest.

Comments

Please, someone bring The Hold Steady near enough for me to see them.

I've lost thousands of dollars over the years promoting shows. I'll lose money again, if that's what it takes to get them to town. Seriously. Call me.
