The new, largely instrumental act Eclipse Glasses joins experimental stalwarts the Western Meds to perform a benefit to restore the Dreamland Ballroom at the Flag and Banner Building. The benefit won't be held in the ballroom, but will be at the Flag and Banner building on Ninth Street, 8:30 p.m., $5.
At On the Rocks, Little Rock's most sterling post-punk bands, Kyoto Boom and the Moving Front, perform what's sure to be a gig packed with equal parts die-hard followers and casual fans eager to take advantage of staggeringly cheap drink specials, 8 p.m., $5.
Popular cover (and sometimes original) act the Gettys headline at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5. “The Heat Rock” at Cornerstone features a good deal of unknown rappers, but also local standouts like Grim Muzik, Big Drew and Clint G, 8 p.m.
Local talents Shannon Wiggins and Lawrence Hamilton perform at the Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church in “Hot Mama Wiggins Variety Hour and Musicfest,” a fund-raiser for the church's music program, 7 p.m., $15.
