'Rock Candy Presents: Live at the White Water' debuts

joshua.

I'm really excited to unveil "Rock Candy Presents: Live at the White Water," a new Times video series.

With some regularity, probably or weekly or bi-weekly, we're going to host high quality video of local musicians playing live. So far, and probably into the future, we're shooting at White Water Tavern, after hours, with several cameras and a lot of microphones.

You can see the first video, of joshua, lead singer of Velvet Kente, doing his thing acoustic, in our video player on our homepage.

It's pretty damn impressive.

Much props to the video production team behind the series. Greg Spradlin films. Jason Weinheimer records. And Robyn Friday (Greg's wife) edits.

Look for video of the See, Shannon Boshears, Flash LaRue, Kyoto Boom and Kevin Kerby coming soon.
