The best new band in Arkansas

Not exactly NSFW, but you might get some funny looks.*

It's the Ginsu Wives, according to the Boston Phoenix, who're trying to build a niche around 50 state music lists. Last year, the alt-weekly named Black Oak Arkansas the best group in Ark. of all time, Johnny Cash the best solo act and the Gossip the best new band. So at least they're digging deeper in their new band search with Ginsu, who the paper describes, somewhat incoherently as, "[i]f Prince had grown up as Jon Lovitz’s adopted baby brother." There's also a line about GW kicking out "some of the ickiest, most coked-out robot disco ever."

Huzzah!

Check the Wives at the Village on Saturday.

*If you're into the video above, make sure you catch "Hello My Love." It's, um, somethin'.
