The Arkansas Good Roads Transportation Council (AGRTC) is on a
media blitz to educate Arkansans about how good roads are safer and make us more competitive with industry. The AGRTC says there is a 15 billion dollar gap between our available funding and our project and maintenance needs.
Sherry Jones, missing since October,
was found near her Parthenon home this Thanksgiving. I posted to the article when she went missing. Keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Here's
a story about a Newton Cty native that was recently named Senior Farmer of the year for Newton Cty. I LOVE Newton County. I've often said that if a man could make a living in Newton County, that's where I'd be.

As a youth, I went to too many funerals for friends and community members who were struck by trains at unguarded crossings.
Here is an example of just such an accident. If we can put a man on the moon, we can put crossing arms and lights at every crossing in our state. The answer is not closing all private crossings--as the Railroad would like to see happen.
