Craighead and Lawrence Cty motorists to have an additional county-line package store option

As I've posted previously, there is a tiny sliver of Green county between Sedgwick and Bono that would make a great spot for a liquor store.  There's just one problem, that particular precinct of Green County is DRY!  Local lore has it that there was a liquor store there years ago but that it was burned down--twice.  The current local lore is that the owner of a corner of a bean field has moved in "citizens" for the purpose of voting the precinct wet.  If that is true, then he just barely made it.  The vote was 37 to 30.

Oh boy, this just means more revenue for Sedgewick, WR, and Lawrence County as they have new excuses for stopping drivers and giving out tickets.

So 67 people voted? That's not very many. An enterprising reporter could get the list of those voted, which is a public record, check with the county clerk's office to get specific voter registration addresses - also public record - and track the people down to see if they really live where they say they live. Keeping election systems honest is one reason why records are open to the public.
