Green Forest must clean up it's wastewater:

The Green Forest City Council received a projected cost of $7.2 million for wastewater improvements needed to come into compliance with their phosphorus levels.  Currently the water is flowing into Missouri's Table Rock Lake.  The council was presented the following options for funding this improvement.

The city might qualify for perhaps a million dollars in economic development grants from the state if the city can show that Tyson would add jobs with the improvements or lose jobs without them, engineer Jim Ulmer said.
But the city would still be left to finance a hefty loan, which could be repaid from a sales tax, sewer bill increases, property tax increases or some combination of the three.

UPDATE: The Carroll County News has a story about the city of Green Forest's need to divide the sewer plant revenues and expenditures from the water department budget in order to adequately show the state the city's need for funding the required wastewater treatment plant.
