Leadership in Arkadelphia/Clark County

Clark Cty JP Johnathan Huber has a letter to the editor of the Arkadelphia Siftings Herald today defending Clark County's proposed sales tax.  It is in response to an earlier letter which poo-pooed the proposal.  The tax has three components: 1) it will fund ED, 2) expand the jail, and 3) provide for public safety in the county.  I wonder why they put them together like this instead of as separate questions.  Seems like if any one is controversial then it could kill the others (ala the Higher-Ed bonds being killed by the Highway bonds two years ago).

What is most pleasing is to read Mr. Huber's description of what ED is.  He states that ED is more than chasing smokestacks.  His vision of ED includes community development projects and retooling and expanding existing business.  Good for him.
