I recently received a package from a buddy in Georgia--a rabid Bulldogs fan, no less. I haven't seen him in a while, and we're in and out of touch. Other than tolerating his Georgia-ness and indulging his love for classic Hall & Oates at the occasional barbecue, I don't know what I've ever done to deserve this.
His package contained three Band-related LPs: Helena-native Levon Helm's American Son and Levon Helm & the RCO All-Stars, as well as the Band-proper's late covers album, Moondog Matinee. I had Levon's two albums, though certainly not on vinyl, but I had never heard Moondog. My access to it was limited to stray tracks on a boxed set. Apparently, my buddy had never heard it either, but he "figured, above all, [I] need the picture of Helm in the Razorback shirt":

Pretty perceptive for a Bulldogs fan. That Lascaux-like Hog on Levon's chest would make for some tattoo.
Here's a track off of American Son in honor of my generous Georgian buddy.
