The Shock Troops of the Property Rights movement

The shock troops of the property rights movement have been showing their might before the Washington County Quorum Court. Last night they suceeded in preventing building codes being enacted by the court.

Do these folks have no concept of the fact that they are just doing the work of developers and corporations that want to skirt building and safety standards? A lot of property rights movements are funded by those who have abject contempt for those  they persuade to be the public face of the movement.

Yes, for the folks pulling the strings, those who get up before planning commissions and county meetings are just another form of cheap labor.

Ark always has a 30% supply of such folks. I believe you recently co-hosted a call-in radio show with one of them.
I'm sure the protest of codes group think they are protecting their property rights against more and more gubbermint intrusion. It means that rural developers can bypass standardized safety measures. STEP systems are ruing the country side in Washington and Benton Counties. How long will it take before malfunctioning STEP systems pollute our ground water beyond our ability to clean it.

I wonder how it feels inside the anti-code folks' minds? They seem to have no concept of community and what is required for safe, functioning communities. Could it be they see them selves as an island inside a widening community?
It seems so.
