John White and the "delete" key

Watching UA Chancellor John White on TV the other night, sort of smirking his way through his remark that he had deleted unread “thousands” of emails a day, at the height of the Houston Nutt/Frank Broyles public relations disaster a few months ago. Did he really say that?

I dunno - maybe somebody out there might have had something of value to say? Maybe he could at least have had some low-paid assistant read them, and report the gist of them back to him?

But just to consign them all to the cyber-trash heap?

Oh, John, you’re leaving not a moment too soon.

Mike Huckabee - Rediscovering God in America - or else?

Mike Huckabee will be sharing the stage in Orlando with Fred Thompson and Newt Gingrich, who wrote the book, “Rediscovering God in America,” at an American Family Association conference of the same name on January 21.

No doubt a good time will be had by all.

On the Air with Barbara Harmony

Quote of the Day

I find it very useful to be a member of plenty of committees; I can point to the list whenever I am asked to do anything which might involve real work, and ask how  can I be expected to shoulder any new duties? - Robertson Davies
