That "partnership" with the UA? Better get it in writing
Wow, all these neat things the UA might give the Fayetteville school system if - and only if, I suppose - they can get their hands on the land where the existing Fayetteville High School now sits.
One can only hope and pray that the school board aren’t coming across as a bunch of rubes when dealing with the UA, dazzled by the school’s price tag, and the “potential” for more partnership with the university.
As for that potential partnership? Get it in writing.
Because so far it seems like the UA is just dangling the money, and not the “partnership” with the community.
I wonder why?

ASG news is just as exciting as city council news
“ASG senators plan to override Looney’s veto,” was Monday’s headline in The Arkansas Traveler, the student paper at the UA.
Seems that Associated Student Government President Nate Looney vetoed a resolution passed by the ASG that would have defeated a committee to explore options in recycling and sustainability on campus, with the aid of the university administration.
Looney’s rationale was that the UA was already willing to discuss such efforts with the ASG.
Several ASG senators don’t agree with Looney, and plan to attempt to override his veto. They say that the resolution was a way to open a dialogue with UA officials.
The whole thing seems to come down to basic philosophy of government.
If you get a chance, pick up the Traveler. It’s got some good, solid reporting, good columnists, and a lot of the stuff that gets covered doesn’t make it into either of our daily papers.
