Legacy Building - the "crown jewel" in downtown Fayetteville?

Watching local news last night - why do I torture myself so? - and heard  the Legacy Building described as the “crown jewel” of downtown Fayetteville.

“Huh?” I said? Not quite as eloquent as “crown jewel,” perhaps, but it seemed an appropriate response at the time.

Where on earth did the folks at Channel 29 get the idea that the Legacy Building was anybody’s idea of downtown Fayetteville’s “crown jewel”?

From the Legacy Building's website, of course!

http://www.thelegacybuilding.com/about2.htm

The site also says that the Legacy Building is “already a tremendous success.”

Well, thank God they didn’t recite that line, anyway.

Next time I send out a press release I think I’ll mention my blood ties to the ruling family in Latveria . . .

Speaking of which . . .

Anybody know of a good dentist? I’m probably looking for an oral surgeon, who will just put me under while the dental work is being done. Now that I can finally afford it, it’s time for the dental drill.

These dentists with the gas? They say things like, “Please don’t scream, Mr. Drake, you’ll upset the other patients.”

You think I’m kidding, don’t you?

You're related to Doctor Doom?

I like my regular dentist, Dr. Lance Osborne, but he referred me to Dr. J.B. Hayes for oral surgery. Dr. Hayes didn't put me under though, just topical and a quick and painless yanking of wisdom teeth. Bled like hell. Don't dilly dally at the drug store and the movie rental place expecting the cotton in your jaws to absorb blood for that long before you go home.

Dr. Hayes also dabbles in real estate and property development, but I've found him to be ethical in this business too.

Whoscrumdown I wonder if Hayes by virtue of being around so long and practicing so long has formed a local oral surgery mafia. I went to two different dentists in Springdale (a second opinion is always worth it) and both said I needed a complicated surgery and immediately did not just refer me to Dr Hayes but wanted to set the appointment for me. Strange.

And J.B. is still practicing because of his huge bankruptcy back in the 80s. Not many in the medical proff will "invest" with him now since his 80s partners lost a bunch.
