Nancy Allen not seeking re-election - the dark clouds roll in

With the news that Nancy Allen is not seeking re-election, Matthew Petty (unless someone runs against him) will probably win by default.

Not much of a victory, hoss.

Allen, who would no doubt have cleaned Petty’s clock in November, is a true progressive on the city council. She is tough, honest, and uncompromising.

And, as opposed to many who have sat on the council over the years, she doesn’t talk down to anyone, but treats everyone with respect. Her loss on the city council will be keenly felt.
