Commentary from Northwest Arkansas

« Telecomm Board Subcommittee comes up with workable plan | Main | Perceptions of Reality »

I guess this means that Dan Coody won't be at any more workers' rallies this year.

From Saturday’s Northwest Arkansas Times:

According to the mayor, Fayetteville has been increasing and raising the quality of services for residents while reducing the number of employees per capita.

Yup - reducing the number of employees while he goes gallivanting off at the drop of a hat to conferences around the country. One can’t help but recall the Solidarity that Comrade Dan showed with city employees earlier this year, after a Telecomm Board member made the silly “overpaid rednecks” remark.

I wonder if he’d get the same warm welcome at such a rally in the near future?

Speaking of Workers and Bad Jokes

Checking out the website for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, which has a special “Wal-Mart Coverage” selection on their site. They must be really proud of it; it’s listed twice.

No option for labor, coverage, of course. That is just so 19th Century . . .
