Diversity at the GOP National Convention

Young white people - again, not so many.

Wrinkled white people.

Not quite-so-wrinkled white people.

White guys with bad haircuts.

White women!

White guys!

Laura Bush!

Cindy McCain!

The pressure begins at the Palin household . . .

Leaving aside all the references to abstinence only education, and the fact that Sarah Palin’s daughter teenage is pregnant, consider this:

How much pressure do you think that Palin’s daughter and the father of her unborn child will be under to get married - whether they want to or not?

Renaissance Towers: pave “paradise,” and put up a parking lot?

This whole concept of converting Fayetteville’s Big Dig into a parking lot surely must signal the end of the road for the dreams of the developers, John Nock and Richard Alexander? Would they really, actually, spend all that money to put a parking lot on the space, just to tear the damn thing up, should a hotel be built on the spot?

One of these days reporters are going to stoop the developers’ game, and stop referring to the unsightly mess as the “proposed” site of anything at all . .
