Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again . . .

I wonder how many people, upon listening to John McCain and Sarah Palin desperately telling us of their non-solutions to the economic crisis facing the country today,  recalled the theme from All in the Family - particularly the lines:

Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again . . .

What a grand idea it would be if the Obama campaign coupled that music with some of John McCain’s not-so-lofty rhetoric.

It would be short, sweet, and get the message across in an unmistakable way. Even Republicans could not fail to get the message.

I watched some slick, experienced, educated on the street and in college fellows on C-Span two days ago discuss the
prez election.
Seems Brand Republican was truly enhanced by adding Palin. Brand Democrat is "injuring" the brand by running negative attacks. Seem they could show numbers that reveal when Obama does "What I want of America" ads the D Brand is enhanced.

Less than half the voters would understand a parody ad featuring Herbert Hoover.
