YouTube and debates: Why should Salt Lake City be cooler than Fayetteville?

Watching the debate/town hall meeting tonight, I wondered - as I have so many times in the past, why Fayetteville still has the same staid forums and debates every election season? Why can’t we leap into the 21st Century?

Isn’t it possible that some city, somewhere, has actually gone the YouTube route?

Well, way back in 2007, Salt Lake City traveled down the YouTube highway.

Maybe next time we could take a page out of their book?

It's  no secret that more than a few candidates are frustrated by the formats in place in Fayetteville. This would liven things no end - both for the candidates and the folks at home.
