Christian Reconstructionism conference set in Rogers

Come February 22, at the First Baptist Church in Rogers, the American Family Association is hosting a Biblical Worldview Conference.

The purpose of the conference (also known as a Biblical Worldview Code Blue Rally) according to the organizers, is to:

equip Christians to stand for truth in an "anything goes" culture.

Quoting from the press release, among the topics discussed will be:

Question of Origins; The Incredible Faith of Atheism; Understanding One-World Spirituality; Is God Judging America?; How Does God Judge A Nation?; Why Christianity is True; Three Worldview Trends You Must Understand if You Want to Contend and Defend Your Faith; Political Correctness is Cultural Marxism; Why the New Spirituality is Calling for a One-World Government; How to Contend For The Faith in the 21st Century; Eight Ways to Think Biblically on Major Issues of Our Day; Understanding the Reason For the Rise of Oprah's Pagan Spirituality and a Christian Response; Why Worldview Training Matters and Students Want it; and more.

Three of the speakers - David Barton, Brannon Howse and Dr. Frank Harber - have strong links to the Christian Reconstructionism movement.

In fact, the “Worldview Training” mentioned above has a great deal to do with the  monsters in the Christian Reconstructionism  movement.

Quote of the Day

"We kill at every step, not only in wars, riots, and executions. We kill when we close our eyes to poverty, suffering, and shame. In the same way all disrespect for life, all hard-heartedness, all indifference, all contempt is nothing else than killing. With just a little witty skepticism we can kill a good deal of the future in a young person. Life is waiting  verywhere, the future is flowering everywhere, but we only see a small part of it and step on much of it with our feet." : - Hermann Hesse, German poet and novelist.

Gee, I hope they weren’t talking about me

Watching Fringe on FOX tonight, and the screen went black just for a few seconds before it went to FOX News Edge.

There was some inaudible mumbling, then a male voice said clearly, “That guy’s a dick, man.”

The sound went off immediately after that. Too bad, my curiosity was aroused.

I guess it really is “News on the Edge.”
