A group called the Natural State Coalition is trumpeting the results of a poll they commissioned showing Arkansans overwhelmingly (62 percent) in favor of taking action to reduce greenhouse gas pollution and stop global climate change.

The poll also found that:
• 83% of Arkansans believe we have a moral obligation to protect the environment and lower greenhouse gas pollution
• 84% of Arkansans believe limiting greenhouse gas pollution we can decrease our dependence on foreign oil by spurring the use of biodiesel and other alternative fuels
• 63% of Arkansans believe climate change threatens hunting and fishing across the state

The poll was conducted by the Global Strategy Group, who surveyed 600 registered voters Arkansans over a three day period. The poll has a 4% margin of error.
