His petulancy

Posted By on Fri, Apr 28, 2006 at 6:25 AM

Here's Stephens Media's coverage of the governor's decision to strip the Arkansas Times of press privileges routinely extended to other news outlets. It goes without saying that the governor wasn't truthful in claiming that the information we seek is available on the website. Press appearances are not routinely posted there [LATE ADDITION: the week's public schedule is posted there, but it does not typically include press availabilities called on the spur of the moment. Reporters depend on e-mail notices of these appearances to be on hand for coverage] and other material is not always timely posted. The governor does not explain what specifically prompted the action. But you gotta love The Huckster. He characterizes HIS decision to remove our press privileges as a ploy for attention by US.
