Top high schools: Ark. has 2 in top 100

Posted By on Mon, May 1, 2006 at 8:49 AM

Newsweek magazine has again published a list of the top 1,000 public high schools in America, based on a formula in which the number of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams taken by all students at a school in 2005 was divided by the number if the graduating class. Two Arkansas schools cracked the top 100 nationally.

Little Rock Central High School finished 20th on the list.

Mills University Studies High School in Little Rock finished 50th.

Also on the list: Bentonville (404); Fayetteville (413); Arkadelphia (610); Rogers (771). (Sorry, we omitted Arkadelphia in the original post.)
