Republican state chairs retreated to the exclusive Broadmoor resort in Colorado over the weekend. Amid some pessimistic briefings (for them) about how this year’s elections will likely turn out for the GOP, apparently Arkansas Republicans took the opportunity to promote Gov. Mike Huckabee’s presidential prospects, according to National Journal’s Hotine blog.

The AR national committee delegation and aide Kirsten Fedewa held meetings on behalf of Gov. Mike Huckabee (R).

MAX NOTE: Warwick is out of pocket. A reader commented after the original post, which said Huckabee attended the session at the Broadmoor, that the National Journal item didn’t say that Huckabee was there. It said that meets were held in his behalf. The reader appears to be correct and other press coverage of the meeting at the Broadmoor doesn’t mention the governor’s attendance.
