It's tough all over

The country isn't ready for the touch-screen voting machines mandated by federal law, it becomes more evident. Or, more accurately, the machines aren't yet ready for the country.

 Arkansas went with ESS, one of the two major makers of the machinery, and it has been having a series of problems with the supplier. The alternative? NY Times reports that Diebold the other major machine manufacter, and which bid on Arkansas's work, is plagued by  serious security concerns.
