Huckette

Wonkette really has a thing for our governor. He's cracked the hot gossip column again, albeit with note of his unpleasant attitude toward certain members of the working press. The headline gets it right.

Mike Huckabee, Media hound

Sometimes he gets into nasty little spats with them. But for the most part, Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee just loves the news media.

If you doubt that Governor Huckabee is running for president in 2008, consider two facts. First, the fit-and-fabulous governor recently appeared on the Colbert Report. Second, he’s been spending more time in Washington than in Little Rock these days.

Today Governor Huckabee is here in the capital yet again (even if his daughter Sarah has left town). We hear that he’s having a long lunch with a gaggle of reporters, including several who focus on the 2008 presidential race. Quipped one reporter who’s lunching with the governor: “I have more face time with Huckabee than with my boyfriend!”

But will he still love her if she writes critically about him?
