Election day

Posted By on Sat, May 20, 2006 at 2:56 PM

Thanks to the Blog reader who reminded me of Saturday voting. I had the courthouse staff to myself about 2 p.m. and was persuaded by Election Commissioner Kent Walker to give the touch screen machine a try, after first requesting a paper ballot. It seemed to work fine. My votes were recorded correctly -- at least so said the screen and the paper copy of my vote encased under clear plastic alongside the video screen. Will it be counted correctly? We shall see.

Courthouse is open until 4 p.m. There's plenty of parking around the building.
