Election day

Posted By on Tue, May 23, 2006 at 10:05 AM

A couple of reports here make it sound like turnout is anemic. Not surprising really. The public at large doesn't likely hold the same fervor you see in the camps for the "marquee" races -- a.g. and lt. gov.

Reports from the polls welcome. Also reports on the performance, or lack of, of voting machines.

I've never seen so many human campaign billboards. We won't name names, because we're only guessing based on body language, but we suspect some are enthusiastic volunteers and some are hired hands, earning a check like those guys who sit by the interstate advertising half-off sales at Cohn's.

Tonight we'll open up threads for discussion on the major categories of races. The Arkansas Blog staff will be out and about. Warwick will be appearing on Fox 16 for periodic commentary. I'll mud rassle with Bill Vickery at 5 and 10 on Channel 4.
