Pulaski recount -- UPDATE

Posted By on Thu, May 25, 2006 at 8:00 AM

We haven't talked to anyone about it, but we note that the Pulaski County Election Commission did another vote tally last night and it now shows Doug Ladner with a narrow lead over Ed Garner, 626 to 618, in the Republican primary that will decide who represents Maumelle in the state House of Representatives. We have no idea if this is final or reliable.

UPDATE: As of 11:30, still no final count certified. Note that state law allows 10 days after the election to receive overseas ballots, and they likely will wait for them in a race this close. An election commissioner says a machine with votes in this race still has not been tallied.
