We heard through the grapevine that Maxine Miller of Maxine's Tap Room in Fayetteville passed away on Friday.

She was beloved by generations of University of Arkansas students who found sanctuary in her drinking establishment. Maxine's had the best jukebox this side of Memphis.

Her funeral will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Morris Chapel Funeral Home, just off the Fayetteville square. Friends and family will gather at the Tap Room after the graveside service.
