The OBU seat

Posted By on Thu, Jun 1, 2006 at 1:23 PM

The governor announced today that he'll replace Jeanna Westmoreland on the state Board of Education with Dr. Tim Knight, a biology professor (not education as we wrote incorrectly originally) at Ouachita Baptist. Westmoreland, who was on the OBU faculty, resigned from the board to follow her husband, the former president of OBU, to a new job in Alabama. Huckabee is a grad of OBU and heading for a job there in January. An OBU degreee or job is not a requirement for a post in the Huckabee administration, but they seem to help.
