The recount

Posted By on Tue, Jun 6, 2006 at 5:18 PM

The Pulaski County Election Commission has completed its recount of voting in the Republican primary race (no Democrats ran) for the House District 41 seat covering Maumelle. Ed Garner stayed on top over Doug Ladner, 664-655. That's precisely the count tallied previously. And, please note: The paper tape on the electronic voting devices in this race were tallied by hand. They apparently registered the votes correctly.

And a tip o' the hat to election commission employees, who had to go through 30 300 feet of tape from  eachof 22 precincts to do this hand tally. No fun. But it's accountability, in spades.
