Money talks

The Sunday New York Times reports on a new government trend that contributes to the exploding lobbyist corps in Washington. Cities are hiring lobbyists to win lucrative earmarks and other federal dollars. The story comes with a state-by-state roster of cities with paid lobbyists in D.C. They  include Fayetteville and Hot Springs (former Congressman Beryl Anthony).
