The new dean

Posted By on Tue, Jul 18, 2006 at 12:42 PM

Smoke signals wafting over UAMS indicate that Dr. Debra Fiser, chairman of dept. of pediatrics at UAMS, will be the new dean of the College of Medicine. UAMS Chancellor Dodd Wilson has invited the faculty to hear Dr. Fiser, described as a "candidate for the dean of the College of Medicine," to "present her vision" for the college at meetings Friday and Monday.

We understand she's the only candidate. She'd succeed Dr. Albert Reece, who's taken a job in Maryland.
