LR rape case

The Democrat-Gazette's Cindy Murphy did an extensive followup today on the city's response to a rape reported by a teen who was among 8,000 visitors to the city for a soccer tournament. We'd first reported this case a week ago.

It happens we'd checked in on the case yesterday. Police say they've made no progress in finding a suspect. They say they need to travel to North Carolina to interview the 14-year-old again. Evidence gathered so far doesn't square with the account given to police by the young woman.
