Singin' in the rain

Posted By on Thu, Jul 27, 2006 at 7:25 AM

There was a thread here a couple of days ago mentioning weather info on the web. Several Blogophiles mentioned various good sources of that info, including Accu-Weather and Weather Underground.

Down here in Hempwallace we rely on an excellent source of up-to-date (and, coincidentally, free) weather information: The good old United States Weather Service.

Localized Arkansas and Little Rock weather is available at:

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/lzk/

With rain approaching from the south today, this site gives you animated, up-to-the-minute radar and five-day forecasts that beat the dickens out of the TV weather folks.

I got the message today before noon; others didn't find out until it was going on. But however folks found out, they turned out in huge numbers, more than thousand men, women and children, on the grounds of the state Capitol to listen to speakers from all faiths and many countries.
