Whither the Bradley Pink, et al.

There's a couple that will drive from a place north of Dallas to Warren, Arkansas, to lay their hands on a back seat full of the genuine Bradley Pink tomatoes that once ruled the earth as the greatest exemplar of good summertime eating. Now, it's so hard to find the real Pinks that you have to know somebody, as this couple does, to get the real thing.

Here's a nice piece from the San Francisco Chronicle about how much people are willing to pay to get the old-timey produce of their youth. There's no real Arkie angle except for reminiscing and letting your mouth water.
