Wal-Mart's governor

Posted By on Fri, Aug 18, 2006 at 3:33 PM

The Huckster has made it clear he won't join various politicians -- including his old running buddy Tom Vilsack of Iowa -- urging Wal-Mart in a national campaign to treat its employees well. This link on his website gives the summary; the link to the full document is not working but his office says it should be corrected soon.

An Arkansas governor kissing Wal-Mart behind is not exactly man-bites-dog news, of course. It's not only the largest business enterprise in the state and nearly biggest in the known universe, its major stockholders also own the University of Arkansas, the Little Rock School Board and assorted politicians.
