Seven miles from LR, on final approach from Charlotte, USAirways 2275 sent word of a suspicious liquid (liquids now being no-nos) in possession of two passengers on the flight. Every type of law agency scrambled. The plane landed. The suspicious liquids, a couple of bottles with clear liquids. were removed as were two passengers. Dogs did their sniffing. Eventually, all of the 53 passengers were allowed to deplane.

According to an airport spokesman, the plane was clean. At last word, the two passengers with contraband liquid were still being questioned by authorities. But indications are that the liquid is going to turn out to be water.
