Mike Huckabee (R.-Iowa)

Posted By on Wed, Sep 6, 2006 at 1:38 PM

He's not only capitalizing on the 9/11-Iraq conflation Sunday in Iowa, he's got a long weekend planned in the Hawkeye state, starting Friday. Gov. Argue, do something will ya?

The Huckster has a lunch benefit for legislative candidate Polly Graznow; an afternoon fund-raiser for George Eichorn, another House candidate, and then tops Friday night with a Christian academy potluck. Saturday, he's down for fund-raisers for two more legislative candidates, Dan Clute and David Hartsuch. Too bad for him, he probably won't make time for a Made-Rite or a fried pork tenderloin sandwich.

Info from this Iowa caucus blog, which also identifies two Iowa legislators (Alons and Boal) who reportedly are committed to Huckabee. They are straight-F or straight-A legislators, depending on your point of view, on environment, abortion, business subsidies, etc. Moderate they ain't.
