Here's the data for fall enrollment at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville:

Degree-seeking undergrads -- 13,891, up 1.7 percent from 2005.

Counting grad students, non-degree undergrads and law students, total enrollment is 17,938, up .7 percent from last year.

New degree-seeking freshmen were up by 32, to 2,784, but 27 of those were accounted for by a rise in international students and 10 more by out-of-state students. The number of in-state new freshman dropped from 1,923 to 1,918.

One obvioius sore point: The number of black students on campus dropped from 982 to 947, the fourth straight year of decline. Hispanic enrollment of 447, however, was a 20.2 percent increase.

ACT scores of the new freshmen increased a touch, from an average 25.3 to 25.5. The average high school grade point inched up from 3.57 to 3.58.
