Meanwhile, back at the ranch

U.S. Attorney Bob Balfe has filed notice of appeal of the home detention given Tom Coughlin, the thieving former Wal-Mart exec who pleaded ill health to avoid the slammer. Somebody grab a horse and get the news to Tom. Neither his delicate condition -- nor terms of his confinement -- prohibit him from roaming the 2,000 acres of his multi-million-dollar cattle spread. Even Martha Stewart didn't have it so good.
